About the project
Elegance Beauty is a white-label SaaS that unifies the entire customer journey in the beauty market on a single web platform: real-time service scheduling, e-commerce for physical products and an online course (EAD) platform.
The problem
Beauty and aesthetics businesses usually run scheduling, sales and training on separate tools that never talk to each other. Unifying them means coordinating availability, stock, payments and access control under one domain.
The solution
- Service scheduling with dynamic availability per professional, cancellations and real-time notifications.
- E-commerce with stock, product variations, shipping calculation and multiple delivery addresses.
- Online courses with video lessons, per-module progress and access released after payment confirmation.
Architecture and stack
The backend runs on Node.js 22 with Express 5 under a Modular Hexagonal Architecture with SOLID boundaries, decoupling business rules from payment gateways and media storage. Persistence uses PostgreSQL 17 with Prisma 6, while Redis 7 and BullMQ drive asynchronous jobs.
Heavy video uploads respond immediately (HTTP 201 Processing) and are transcoded by background workers with FFmpeg, pushing the result back over Socket.IO. Payments run behind a Strategy interface (MercadoPago today, extensible to other providers), and the frontend is Next.js 15 with React 19, TanStack Query and Better Auth.
Code and ownership
The business-logic source code is confidential. The public repository is a technical case study documenting the architecture, the engineering decisions and the stack used in production.
