About the project
Barbershop is a web platform built to digitalize barbershop management. It brings booking, customer management and professional profiles into a single responsive interface.
The problem
Barbershops typically manage schedules by phone and message threads, which makes double bookings and no-shows common. The goal was a self-service flow where the customer books and the barber sees everything in one place.
The solution
- Online booking where customers see professional availability in real time.
- Authentication and profile management for both customers and barbers.
- Tools for professionals to manage their profile, portfolio and service list.
- Interactive notifications and alerts for a smoother booking experience.
Architecture and stack
The app is built with Next.js and React on TypeScript, styled with Tailwind CSS and Radix UI, with Lucide icons and Sonner/SweetAlert2 for user feedback. Forms are handled by React Hook Form and validated with Zod.
Data access goes through Prisma ORM and authentication is managed by NextAuth, with a responsive layout that works across phone, tablet and desktop.
